India vs Pakistan in Asian Champions Trophy Hockey 2023: India beat Pakistan in a one sided match
India defeated Pakistan by 4-0 in the Asian Champions Trophy hockey match 2023. The clash between two teams was held on Wednesday, 9 August at the Mayor Radhakrishnan Hockey Stadium in Chennai. After this loss Pakistan is going out of semi final race of the tournament. India has been topped in this six-team tournament. Harmanpreet Singh is the top scorer of the tournament.
The team India has scored one goal each in each quarter. Captain Harmanpreet Singh scored two goals on the penalty corner in 15th and 23rd minute. In this way the India went ahead 2-0 in the IND vs PAK match. Jugraj Singh make a penalty corner in the 36th minute while Akashdeep Singh scored a field goal in the 55th minute for his side. Finally, India went ahead 4-0 in the match. India was dominated on Pakistan in this strategic game and did not give any chances to score more. In the previous match, the Indian team defeated defending champions South Korea by 3-2 and fixed their place in the semi-finals. While in their third match, Indian team also had a victory against Malaysia 5-0. The team India was started their campaign with a 7-2 win over China.
The team India will play in 2nd semi-final match against Japan at the same ground on August 11. The first semi-final match will be played between Malaysia (number two in point table) and South Korea at number three in table. While for the fifth place Pakistan will take on China in the playoff match.
