The sale of tickets for the ODI World Cup 2023 will begin on August 25. The tournament will be played from October 5 in India. Fans will be able to buy the tickets for India’s matches in 5 different phases. Tickets for Indian team matches will be available from August 30 to September 3. Booking of tickets for the high voltage match between India and Pakistan to be played on October 14 will start from September 3. You can get tickets for the semi-final and final matches will start selling from 15 September 2023. Tickets for the warm-up and group stage matches of the rest of the teams except India will start selling 41 days before the tournament started.
ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 Tickets: World Cup Tickets Will be Sold in Seven Phases
The International Cricket Council (ICC) also shared the details of ticket sales only after releasing the updated schedule of the World Cup 2023. All tickets can be bought online.
- First Phase on 25 August – Tickets for warm-up and World Cup matches of other countries except India will start selling.
- Second Phase on August 30 – Tickets will go on sale for India’s warm-up matches to be held in Guwahati and Thiruvananthapuram.
- Third Phase on August 31 – Tickets for India’s matches against Australia, Afghanistan and Bangladesh will go on sale from 31st Aug. These matches will be held on 8th, 11th and 19th October.
- Fourth Phase on September 1 – Tickets will be sold for India’s matches against New Zealand, England and Sri Lanka on 1st Sep. India Matches with these three teams will take place on 2 November, 22nd and 29 October.
- Fifth Phase on September 2 – Tickets will be sold for India’s matches against South Africa and Netherlands. The matches will be held on 5 Nov and 12 November.
- Sixth Phase on September 3 – Tickets for the match between India and Pakistan will be sold from Sep 3. The match will be played in Ahmedabad on Saturday, 14 October 2023.
- Seventh Phase on September 15 – Tickets for the semi-final 1st, 2nd and the final will go on sale from September 15. The semi-finals 1st and 2nd will be held in Mumbai on 15 November and Kolkata on 16 November. ODI World Cup 2023 final will be played in Ahmedabad on 19 November.
Registration Date to Get Ticket Details
ICC has also started a registration for the tournament fans before the ticket sales started. Fans will be able to register for ticket details from 15 August, 2023. They will get the details of World Cup ticket sales through a notification. ICC also said in its statement, ‘Fans can get the ticket details first by registering on the website.’ Fans can register by clicking here. This link will be active from 15th August. Delay in ticket sale and schedule is not common for ICC World Cup
Never before this year tournament has there been so much delay in ticket sales and schedule release in any ICC World Cup. The schedule of the ODI World Cup 2023 to be held in India was released on 27 June, only 100 days before the tournament started. As we all know that ICC has now been rescheduled the World Cup fixtures date and released it on 9th August 2023. While Ticket sales with delay will also start from August 25.
The last ICC World Cup was held in England in 2019. Ticket sales for this tournament were started in September 2018 itself. Schedule of the tournament was also released one year ago in advance.
Revised schedule of ODI World Cup 2023 has been released
ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 Rescheduled: A new date has been announced by ICC for 9 matches including India vs Pakistan. The clash between India and Pakistan was earlier set on 15th October, but now this high voltage match with a new date will be played in Ahmedabad on 14th October 2023. India will start its campaign against Australia on Oct 8, 2023 instead of October 6 at the Chepauk Stadium in Chennai.
After this, on 11th Oct 2023, team India will be played against Afghanistan at Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi.
The match between India and Netherlands will be played on 12 November 2023. Wherein, Australia vs South Africa match on12 October, Australia vs Bangladesh on 11 November, Pakistan vs Sri Lanka match on 10 October, New Zealand vs Bangladesh on 13 October, England vs Afghanistan on 15 October 2023, England vs Pakistan match will be played on 11 November.
